Bad Boys

Instapundit notes a post that compares before and after photos of three of the terror thugs we've captured. Befores look all proper and well dressed with the world before them. After looks like "Cops" sweeps month perps. Wife beater shirt. Dirty scraggly hair. Dazed. The fourth photo contrast is more extreme--not even "Corpse" by the looks of it.

As I wrote to Instapundit:

I guess when you know you have 72 virgins lined up for you, you just let hygiene and personal grooming go all to hell.

Seriously, showing the terrorists like this helps to demystify them. This is a major advantage the enemy has in our press coverage of the war.

Stuff like this shows them to be the thug losers they are and not the glorious jihadis they pretend to be. That's why I like the Iraqi TV show that shows captured terrorists to the public. It demystifies the "martyrs" and shows them to be "criminals."

This is an important part of the war to dry up the recruits to the jihadis and Baathists.
