Lucas Film has deals with China? Watch out for the remakes.

Given Hollywood's attempts to suck up to Chinese demands about movie content that might show China in a negative light, is this cause for worry?

The Walt Disney Co. has pledged $1 million in humanitarian aid for areas affected by a deadly recent earthquake in China's Southwestern province of Sichuan, LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy said here on Saturday in one of two appearances, which she also used to discuss two recent deals in China.

Not the humanitarian aid. Good for them, and all. But what are those movie deals with China? What did LucasFilm agree to?

Will the China-compliant outfit of Lu CasFilm make a 3D remake of The Empire Strikes Back as The Middle Kingdom Liberates a Core Interest?
