Think Zilch and Not Zorch

We have deployed the Enterprise and Lincoln battlegroups near Iran:

Cmdr. Amy Derrick-Frost of the Bahrain-based 5th Fleet said on Monday that the deployment of [two] carrier strike group marks only the fourth time in the past decade that the Navy has had two aircraft carriers operating at the same time in the region.

And the last time was in January--with a third on a string.

Then, we also announced that it would be our goal to keep two carriers in the region. In time, people will stop reacting to two carriers in the region. Nothing to see, move along.

Then one day, if we need to, we could have the chance to quietly race normally rotational carriers to CENTCOM and have four carriers in range of Iran.

You know, in case our diplomatic efforts to halt Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions don't bear fruit.
